Small changes. Better reps.
Give every rep a target
Do not just shoot or pass. Pick a target, count successful repetitions or add a time goal so the player knows what success looks like.
Progress one variable at a time
Start with technique, then add movement, speed, pressure or decision-making. Too many changes at once make it hard to know what improved.
Short sets beat sloppy volume
Ten focused reps are often more useful than fifty rushed ones. Reset the puck, reset the body and make the movement intentional.
